Center Township has three Township Board members who are elected every four years in the same election as the trustee. The Township Board meets several times each year as required by Indiana code. The board is responsible for approving township budgets and annual financial reports. Months without any agenda items will not have a meeting scheduled.

For 2026, the Township Board has determined the following dates for meetings.
 

Tuesday, January 6th @ 6:30pm

Tuesday, February 10th @ 6:30pm
Tuesday, September 8th @ 6:30pm – First Reading of the 2027 Budget
Tuesday, October 13th @ 6:30pm – 2027 Budget Adoption

Center Township has three Township Board members who are elected every 4 years in the same election as the trustee. The Township Board meets several times each year which is required by Indiana code. The board is responsible for approving township budgets and annual financial reports.

The township board shall meet annually on or before the first Tuesday after the first Monday in January at the office of the township trustee. The board shall meet and organize annually on the above date by electing one of its members chairman and one of its member's secretary for that year. 

IC 36-6-6-9(a) requires the township board to meet on or before the third Tuesday after the first Monday in February of each year. At this meeting it shall consider and approve, in whole or in part, the annual report of the executive presented under IC 36-6-4-12.
